Karan Soni was born and raised in New Delhi, India, before emigrating to Los Angeles, California, to pursue an education and career in film and theater. After his feature debut in Colin Trevorrow’s Safety Not Guaranteed, Soni appeared in Deadpool and Deadpool 2as “Dopinder,” Ghostbusters as “Benny,” Office Christmas Party, Unicorn Store, Office Uprising, B-Roll, Monumental, Goosebumps, And Then There Was Eve and Rough Night. On television, Soni appears in Silicon Valley, Room 104, The Goldbergs, Blunt Talk, Other Space, and Betas.

Karan next appears opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi as God’s right-hand man in the TBS comedy series Miracle Workers(February 2019), created by Simon Rich; opposite Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, and Salma Hayek in the Paramount feature filmLike a Boss, set to be released January 10, 2020; and in POKÉMON Detective Pikachu, Superintelligence, Always Be My Maybe, Better Start Running, and Trolls World Tour. On television, Karan will soon appear in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Mira, Royal Detective, and Corporate Animals.
