TBS to be Exclusive Home of the N.L. Throughout 2019 MLB Postseason

TBS will be the exclusive home of the National League throughout the 2019 MLB Postseason, beginning with the National League Wild Card presented by Hankook Tire – Milwaukee Brewers vs. Washington Nationals – tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 8 p.m. ET.

The white-hot Brewers went 20-7 in September to clinch a Postseason berth and will visit the Nationals and stars Juan Soto and Anthony Rendon, with the winner moving on to play the N.L. West Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Ernie Johnson (play-by-play) will be joined by MLB on TBS analysts Ron Darling and new addition Jeff Francoeur plus reporter Lauren Shehadi to call the N.L. Wild Card Game.

The MLB Postseason Pre-Game Show on TBS is presented by Caesars Entertainment and will begin the network's postseason coverage at 7 p.m., featuring Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez, nine-time All-Star Gary Sheffield and former NL MVP Jimmy Rollins joining host Casey Stern for their fourth postseason together. The studio team will also offer postgame analysis on The Postseason Show on TBS presented by Physicians Mutual.

The network's upcoming postseason schedule and production notes follow.

NLDS & NLCS Notes

*The network's exclusive coverage of the National League Division Series (NLDS) presented by Utz will begin Thursday, Oct. 3, with the MLB Postseason Pre-Game Show on TBS ahead of game coverage.

*In one NLDS, Central and East Division Champions will meet – St. Louis Cardinals and the dynamic duo of Marcell Ozuna and Paul Goldschmidt vs. the Atlanta Braves and stars Ronald Acuña, Jr., Freddie Freeman, Ozzie Albies and Josh Donaldson. Brian Anderson will call play-by-play for the Cardinals/Braves series alongside Darling and reporter Shehadi.

*In the other NLDS on TBS, the Los Angeles Dodgers and MVP candidate Cody Bellinger will face the winner of the N.L. Wild Card Game. Johnson will be joined by Francoeur and reporter Alex Chappell to call the Dodgers series.

*TBS will also exclusively televise the National League Championship Series (NLCS), beginning Friday, Oct. 11, with Game 1 of the best-of-seven series.

*The NLCS will be called by Anderson and Darling for the third consecutive year, with Shehadi reporting.

*Reporters Hazel Mae (an ALDS and ALCS) and Emily Jones (the other ALDS) will provide on-site news and updates from the American League throughout the Postseason.

2019 MLB Postseason Production Notes

*Field microphones – TBS will deploy 10 microphones embedded around the field for enhanced natural sound for every game telecast during the Postseason. Six microphones will be placed around the field, with two microphones each also placed around the pitcher's mound and home plate. Additionally, a microphone will be used in each base for every TBS Postseason game telecast for the first time.

*Phantom Cameras – High frame rate cameras (between 900 and 1200 frames per second, possibly as much as 1500 FPS) will be used to provide stunning super slo-mo replays. One camera will be used for the Wild Card and each NLDS, with two cameras used during the NLCS. Cameras will be placed at the low 1^st or low 3^rd base position and will capture swings, pitch follows, fielding and color.

*Overall camera notes – TBS will have the use of 15-18 coverage cameras and 6 super mo cameras during the Wild Card and each NLDS. For the NLCS, there will be 19-23 coverage cameras and 8 super mos.

Live Streaming

*Live streaming coverage of all MLB Postseason games airing on TBS will be available via www.tbs.com and the Watch TBS App.

*Fans will be able to access the games whenever and wherever they desire by logging in with the user name and password provided by their TV service provider.

*Additionally, all MLB on TBS Postseason game telecasts will be available in Spanish via SAP.
